Description
My husband, Greg Wilcox, and I created an animated short film called Frog's Lament together using my AI animations and his original music and Tuvan-style throat singing.
This piece was based off of the Princess and the Frog love story, but with a twist. We tried to capture what would happen if the frog didn't quite turn into a prince, instead it would be a story about unconditional love and loving someone for who they are rather than trying to change them and getting them to be someone they aren't.
This creative journey took us 7 months of collaboration and many, many failed animation attempts. As a way of honoring the process and documenting the learning and effort that went into the creation of this piece, we are minting the outtakes, along with the original music from the animated film.
Using blockchain technology to serve as the record keeper of our artistic innovation and creation, we strive to show the growth and learning that occurred to create our first ever collaborative piece.
Each of these individual animations are available as a 1/1 digital collectible as part of Frog's Lament: The Behind-the-scenes pieces collection on Campfire/Avalanche.
This collage is a documentation of the outtakes 30-33 that were minted and are part of a multi-chain edition mint to spread awareness of the final piece and foster a love of the AI animation process.
20 of the 51 editions will be minted on Avalanche
20 of the 51 editions will be minted on Tezos
20 of the 51 editions will be minted on Solana
1 edition without text will be minted on Eth
