The phrase “cedunt luni” translates from Latin to “they yield to the light.”
“Cedunt Luni: Prīmus” is a 300DPI 3584x4352 (larger than Ultra 4K!) JPG image with increased colour gamut using the Display P3 colour space. It was minted as an edition of 33, with 25 given away on zeroone.art and 8 copies retained by the artist.
All the pieces in this collection were initially created using the ClipDrop SDXL system. Even though an aspect ratio of 4:5 (portrait) was used, the system would output images at two slightly different sizes. A true 4:5 aspect ratio works out to 4/5 or 0.80. Some pieces were output at 896x1088, which 4x upscales to 3584x4352 and a calculated aspect ratio of 0.82. Other pieces were output at 896x1152, which 4x upscales to 3584x4608 and a calculated aspect ratio of 0.78.

Created with the stable diffusion AI art system (SDXL 1.0). Curated from hundreds of outputs. Edited, cropped, restored, and corrected by hand in Photoshop. Enhanced and enlarged with Magnific to create a more detailed version and a less detailed one. The two were then composited with a layer transparency to create an optimal balance between them. The output was then enhanced and enlarged with Magnific again.
